I am based in Austin, chair Foley’s national Government Solutions Practice Group, co-chair Foley’s national State Attorneys General practice, and personally concentrate on helping companies navigate the state and federal regulatory & enforcement morass, with emphasis on Consumer Protection, Medicaid, and Antitrust authority of State Attorneys General and the FTC.

The law (and thus regulators and enforcers) typically lag years behind emerging technologies.  I thus enjoy building relationships for clients with key Attorney General and their staff, as well as educating AGs on the business perspective, intervening before concerns escalate, and representing clients facing the potential of multi-state actions, to avoid and, if necessary, handle formal investigations and litigation.

Some of our clients have included those launching new ventures in the software, medical devices, telemedicine & health care, finance, energy, and cosmetics & dietary supplements spaces.
