Foley Represents PeoplesBank in Hartford Arena Naming Rights Deal

Foley & Lardner LLP represented PeoplesBank in connection with its multi-year naming rights agreement with Oak View Group and the Capital Region Development Authority to rename the 16,000-seat sports and entertainment venue in Hartford, Connecticut, as PeoplesBank Arena.

The newly renamed PeoplesBank Arena is home to the American Hockey League’s Hartford Wolf Pack, the AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers. It also hosts the 12-time National Champion UConn Women’s Basketball team, the six-time National Champion UConn Men’s Basketball team, the UConn Men’s Ice Hockey team, and a wide range of global concerts and entertainment events.

The naming rights agreement coincides with the next phase of the arena renovation project, which includes upgrades to the seating area, the addition of new lower-level luxury suites, and the development of enhanced concession areas. The 10-year partnership supports ongoing redevelopment efforts and reflects PeoplesBank’s continued investment in the Central Connecticut region.
