Foley & Lardner LLP recently represented Nomad in its acquisition of Brazilian fintech startup Husky. The transaction amount was not disclosed, but the purchase price consisted of cash and Nomad shares issued to Husky’s shareholders.

Founded in 2016, Husky is an online platform that simplifies life for Brazilians with jobs abroad. Its platform helps professionals prove the origin of the resources when bringing them to Brazil and has a partnership with financial institutions to allow the withdrawal of the money within the country.

The purchase of Husky comes six months after Nomad raised $32 million in a round with the funds Monashees and Spark Capital. Since its foundation in November 2020, Nomad has already raised $59.5 million.

The Foley team was led by Partner André Thiollier and included Associate Ashley Lee.
