Foley Advises Handgards in Acquisition of Albany Packaging

Foley & Lardner LLP served as legal advisor to Handgards, LLC, a leading distributor of foodservice products and Wynnchurch Capital portfolio company, in its acquisition of Albany Packaging USA.

Albany, headquartered in Deerfield Beach, Florida, is a distributor of foodservice packaging, primarily paper folding cartons sold to supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, and convenience stores. Albany’s products include a wide range of paper-based folding cartons and other foodservice packaging solutions, such as coffee sleeves.

The acquisition enhances Handgards’ foodservice product portfolio, which includes disposable gloves, paper foodservice packaging, tabletop items, expendables, and other carryout products. 

The Foley private equity deal team advising Handgards was led by Gjina Lucaj, Omar Lucia, Annemarie Ficarra, and Courtney Chaplin.
