Foley Represents Johnny Clean Car Wash in Sale to El Car Wash

Foley & Lardner LLP served as legal advisor to Johnny Clean Car Wash in its sale to El Car Wash, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus.

Founded in 2017, Johnny Clean Car Wash is a leading express car wash operator with a strong presence across the Orlando, West Palm Beach, and Jacksonville markets. Known for its customer-centric model and commitment to consistent quality, speed, and hospitality, Johnny Clean has built a best-in-class platform supported by systematic operations and a culture of continuous improvement.

El Car Wash’s acquisition of Johnny Clean Car Wash adds five locations to its portfolio and advances the company’s strategic expansion throughout Florida. Following this transaction, El Car Wash now operates 80 stores across Florida and Michigan, including 25 in Central Florida. The newly acquired locations will be rebranded and enhanced with El Car Wash’s signature offerings.

Additional subject matter support was provided by Casey Knapp and Gage Maurer (Employee Benefits), Pamela Brown (Real Estate), Ethan Lenz (Insurance), John Palmer and Sonia Kothari (Tax), Chanley Howell and Christopher McKenna (Intellectual Property), Mark Neuberger (Labor & Employment), and Nicholas Johnson (Environmental).
