Foley & Lardner LLP recently represented global private equity health care specialist ARCHIMED in its acquisition of Irrimax Corporation, including its holding company, Innovation Technologies, for an undisclosed sum.

Irrimax, founded in 2003, develops and markets Irrisept® Antimicrobial Wound Lavage, a market-leading solution within high-performance wound irrigation. Irrimax bridges two sectors – Surgery & Operating Consumables and Wound Care – that ARCHIMED’s proprietary sector analysis tool, MedSeg, identifies as priority investment areas.

ARCHIMED acquired Irrimax through its MED Platform II fund, which partners with category leaders in the mid-cap global health care market. The funds provide platform companies with the strategic, tactical, and financial resources they need to accelerate innovation, grow capacity, broaden product lines, and expand into new regions, organically and through acquisitions.

The Foley M&A team was led by partner Brandee Diamond and included partner Louis Lehot, as well as associates Talita Duarte and Mackenzie Barrett.

Additional Foley attorneys included Rishi Sodhi and Sonia Kothari (Tax), Kathleen Bardunias (Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation), Daniel Kaplan (Labor & Employment), Eric Chow (RW Insurance), Antoinette Konski (Intellectual Property), Andrew Rawlins and Sarah Waste (Technology Transactions), Judith Waltz and Lawrence Vernaglia (Health Care Regulatory), and Nathan Beaver (FDA). The acquisition finance work was led by Matthew An and included Maximilian Traut and Blaine Fix.
