Brandee L. Diamond

My practice focuses on representing buyers and sellers in M&A transactions. I help emerging growth companies prepare for a potential liquidity event through M&A in order to ensure a smooth, efficient process, protect the interests of the company and its shareholders and maximize valuation. I also help emerging companies accelerate growth through strategic partnerships and acquisitions.

I enjoy working with emerging growth companies because they are an essential component of a vibrant economy, since a steady pipeline of growing companies helps to drive innovation and increase competition. Helping these companies grow, thrive and achieve their goals is one of the most fulfilling parts of my practice.

Some of my clients include founders, investors, and strategic and financial buyers, among others. In my first year as a lawyer, I helped a founder and its venture capital investors with the formation and financing of the company, the acquisition of some IP, and, just a few years later, an exit through M&A resulting in a liquidity event of over $500 million. Watching the growth and success of this client was extraordinarily fulfilling, and solidified my desire to be a counselor to other emerging growth companies.

Foley & Lardner has been a great fit for me. I chose to practice here because it has all the resources my clients require, with over 1100 attorneys in 24 offices, each of whom share my goal of providing insightful and practical advice and are willing to go the extra mile to help their colleagues and clients. I’ve always been passionate about helping friends, family, clients and colleagues. I enjoy learning about their goals, sharing my knowledge and doing everything I can to help them achieve their goals.

When I’m not in the office, I like to spend time with family, friends and my dog. I also like to set and work towards achieving new challenges for myself. My most recent challenge was hiking Half Dome in Yosemite!
