I am an intellectual property lawyer handling a broad range of technologies from automotive to medical devices to fire protection, and particularly enjoy the intersection of artificial intelligence/machine learning with any technology. My experience includes patent portfolio development focused on complementing clients’ product development and business goals, along with licensing and transactional work along with litigation strategy. Outside of Foley, I support emerging growth companies by hosting Launch Clinics through the eForum (https://www.theeforum.org/). At these events, I connect companies with investors, industry experts, and other members of the entrepreneurial community in Boston (and actually, worldwide through virtual/hybrid events) so that the companies can practice their pitches for investment and receive valuable feedback from the audience to prepare for the real deal, and also get great mentoring and networking opportunities.
I really enjoy the opportunity to support clients who are solving really unique and challenging problems every day, and to find creative solutions to efficiently make their patent portfolio and overall IP strategy a valuable asset that can grow with their businesses.
I’ve been very fortunate to have had great colleagues and mentors throughout my time at Foley, and I love being part of a team that has exceptional breadth and depth across all aspects of IP. I am most passionate about taking advantages of the opportunities I’ve had to develop valuable skills in order to give back to my communities at Foley and around Boston, including through mentoring; diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives; and pro bono immigration work.
Nowadays, when I am not in the office, I spend most of my free time checking out new restaurants around Boston, kayaking, going on weekend getaways around New England, trying to sound like John Mayer on guitar, and hanging with my dog Sunny.
